Welcome to Little Growing Minds Matter
A cozy hub for early childhood educators and families with young learners, centered on stories, play, and everyday moments that support culturally responsive literacy and social-emotional development.

Little Growing Minds Matter was born out of my belief that early childhood education should reflect the real lives, languages, and stories of our youngest learners. As a former Pre-K educator and current PhD researcher in culturally responsive literacy, I’ve seen how identity-affirming books, storytelling, and play can transform not just how children learn but how they feel about themselves while doing it. This space is designed for educators and families alike, with resources that support joyful literacy, social-emotional growth, and everyday moments that truly matter. If you’re raising or teaching little minds, I hope you feel at home here.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is culturally responsive literacy?
Culturally responsive literacy is more than just picking diverse books, it’s about making space for children’s real lives, stories, and identities in how we teach and what we celebrate. It centers their voices, lived experiences, and home cultures through storytelling, play, and everyday learning.
Who can benefit from your resources?
This space was created for both early childhood educators (especially Pre-K and K) and families or homeschoolers raising young learners. If you care about representation, connection, and playful, meaningful learning, you’re in the right place.
What resources do you offer?
I offer a mix of blog posts, free printables, and paid digital resources designed to support early childhood learning through a culturally responsive lens. You’ll find tools that focus on literacy, storytelling, and social-emotional development—whether you’re working with students in a classroom or learning at home with your child. Everything is made to be approachable, thoughtful, and grounded in the belief that learning should reflect who children are and what they bring into the space.
What age group do your resources target?
Most of our tools and printables are designed for children in Pre-K through 2nd grade, that sweet spot where play, identity, and literacy all come together.
